Force - impulse - momentum, Newton's Laws of motion: conservation of linear momentum, conservation of energy. Collisions, conservative and non conservative forces. Circular motion: Centrifugal and centripetal forces, motion in vertical and horizontal circle, motion round a curve, banking. Gravitation, weightlessness, Kepler's laws. Robation of Rigid bodies: Moment of inertia of simple bodies, angular momentum, similarities between equations of motion for translation and for robation. Fluids: Fluid pressure Bernoulli's principle, applications, viscosity, laminar flow through a tube, Stoke's Law obtained from dimensional analysis, Surface Tension. Elasticity: Bands between atoms and molecules Horkes Law, elasticity of materials, yield point, breaking stress, tensile stress and strain, Young's modulus, experimental determination, energy stored in stretched rod, shear modulus and tossion in bar.
